Railway Preservation Society of Ireland
Steam train round trips on Northern Ireland's mainlines organised by The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland. The society is a registered charity formed in 1964 to operate and preserve, in working order, steam locomotives and coaches which were disappearing rapidly from the Irish Railway system. Today the Society owns and operates a fleet of nine steam locomotives and over 20 vintage carriages on public trains. The Society is a non-profit making organisation and all monies from ticket sales, membership fees or donations go directly to keeping Ireland’s steam railway heritage running for future generations.
