An ideal starting or finishing point for your golfing holiday in Ireland, Shannon Golf Club is conveniently adjacent to Shannon Airport. This highly rated parkland championship course, with some magnificent views of the Shannon Estuary, has been played by Ballesteros, Norman, Faldo, Lyle, Langer and O’Connor Jr. Water is a feature on a number of holes, and the length of many of the holes provide a stern test for even the longest hitters. Clare Equestrian Centre is located only 10 minutes from Ennis town centre and is situated in 70 acres of unspoiled natural countryside with a wide variety of activities available to suite all ages and levels of experience. Our facilities include an indoor arena, 2 outdoor sand rings, trekking and cross-country courses, and a Tack and Clothing Shop with an impressive wide selection of items. We offer tuition for adults and children, pony camps, trekking/cross country riding, show jumping events, livery, hunt hire and horse/pony sales. Doolin Ferry operates two modern comfortable vessels which meet the highest safety standards set down by the Irish Department of the Marine. Doolin Ferry is operated by the local O’Brien family. The service was originally carried out using traditional local boats called currachs. Daily departures to Inishmore and Inishere from Doolin Pier, Co. Clare. Groups and individuals catered for. Guides arranged as required. Minibus/bicycles arranged as required.

Aillwee Cave is one of the many thousands of ancient caves beneath the karst-landscape of the Burren in northwest County Clare, Ireland. The name Aillwee is derived from the Irish Aill Bhuí which means yellow cliff. The complex consists of over a kilometer of passages leading into the heart of the mountain. Its features include an underground river and a waterfall as well as some large stalactites and stalagmites. The remains of bears can also be seen inside the caves. It was discovered in the early 20th century, when a farmer followed his dog who was chasing a rabbit. The farmer didn't push very far into the caves, and did not tell anyone of the find for nearly 40 years. He revealed his secret in the 1970s, and two years later it was officially opened to the public.
