Fisherman's Rest B&B Doolin
Danny and Mairéad opened their bed and breakfast accommodation in Doolin in 1995. Now a family of five, their three daughters lend a helping hand with the running of their Bed & Breakfast. While Mairéad works outside the home for a few days a week, Danny has assumed his role as a houseman admirably. He was a fisherman for many years, just like his forefathers, hence the name for the Bed & Breakfast. Although Danny reckons it would have been more appropriately called 'No Rest for the Fisherman'. Danny and Mairéad enjoy being in the accommodation business and have made many friends over the years through their bed&breakfast in Doolin who have returned repeatedly. They themselves describe their home as plain and simply decorated and are eager to point out that cleanliness is of utmost importance to them.
