In Mullingar we specialise in residential (fully supervised) riding holidays with English language courses (for 10/17 year olds & 18 / 22) during the summer months.

With the distinction of being the only racecourse in Ireland where horse racing is over jumps under National Hunt rules, and with a recent €2.5 million upgrade, Kilbeggan Racecourse in County Westmeath is staking its claim as one of the best-loved courses in the country. See this peaceful town spring to life on race evenings as crowds gather in eager anticipation of the excitement, fun and thrill of the race. The racecourse is perfectly designed to ensure that you can get up close to the action or observe in comfort from the Pavilion Bar, or, should the mood take you, head along to the tented bar with live music on the hill overlooking the racecourse.

We offer spacious and comfortable cruisers for hire, at reasonable prices – all well maintained and equipped to a high standard and all boats have the facility of a sliding roof which gives an option for open air cruising and dining. There is spacious living and sleeping accommodation, full sized cooker and small fridge, 2 toilets and 2 showers and a full inventory which includes everything from bed linen to crockery and cutlery.

The Mullingar course at Belvedere on the outskirts of town is the work of famous Scottish designer James Braid. Although some “cosmetic” changes have been made since its creation in 1935 Mullingar is as essentially as its designer intended. A championship challenge set in old wooded and delightful undulating parklands. Generous rolling fairways wind their paths through mature timbers. It hosts important amateur events annually in the shape of the Mullingar Scratch Cup. Visitors are very welcome. Prior arrangement required for weekends.

Lilliput Adventure Centre, located on the shores of Lough Ennell, County Westmeath offer Abseiling, archery, Canadian sailing, canoeing, kayaking, orienteering and raft building.

Lots of fun for all the family at Athlone Leisure World. Facilities include computerised ten pin bowling, kiddies adventureland, astro-turf football and a health and fitness club.
