This is the perfect holiday for those who are looking for something different and want to fully experience Ireland. Instead of buses or minibuses we use 4X4 Land Rovers, so our group sizes are smaller and more flexible and we can explore areas far beyond the reach of normal tours. You will leave the road behind and drive along beaches, into the mountains or across to islands. Walk in the mountains, surf in the Atlantic, ride a horse or play golf. Clamber over ancient ruins, learn about pirate queens, retrace the steps of pilgrims or search for your ancestors, and at the end of the day, a roaring fire, some music, great food and a pint. Run by TV chef / proprietor Catherine Fulvio, Ballyknocken Cookery School offers a selection of day, weekend and resedential courses with themes such as Gourmet Cooking; BBQ, Southern Italian Cuisine and Baker's Delight to name but a few. The emphasis is always on the use of good local ingredients, many of which are supplied from the Ballyknocken Farm garden and from the local farmers of Wicklow. Ballyknocken Cookery School also welcomes private groups, where a wide range of courses and fun events are on offer.

Baltinglass Golf Club in County Wicklow is located just 30 miles south of Dublin and in the golfing heartland of Ireland’s Ryder Cup Region. Originally founded in 1928, Baltinglass enjoys a sublime setting on the banks of the River Slaney, incorporating the ruins of a former Cistercian Abbey and panoramic views of the Wicklow Mountains.
